Bailey's Story

Bailey (May 20th, 1996 - February 23rd, 2017) was born with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. She was legally deaf, blind and wheelchair bound her entire life. However, this never stopped her from radiating love and warmth through every ounce of her body. Although she never spoke a word, we heard her loud and clear. She never took a step, but traveled through all of our hearts.

Bailey is a daughter, a sister and an inspiration to us all. In her innocence,  she gave to us a living model of some of the characteristics which we all strive for; trust, love, patience and hope. Though her journey was full of obstacles, she overcame every challenge with strength and grace.

Bailey made us all understand a deeper, unselfish love; a connection without words, free of judgment and always with grace. Her story needs to be heard; her pure love needs to be shared. Bailey's life was short if measured in years but long if measured in the acts of goodness and accomplishment that she generated in so many others. Bailey will be missed, treasured and always in our hearts.

Her touch has never been so warm.
